I was going to get some work done today, but I got distracted and never got around to it. I did get out in the yard to do some much needed mowing this afternoon, but all I managed was the center strip of the driveway. The mower seemed tired, so I quit there. I don’t have much of an excuse for all the other things I didn’t do, except that I’m a little lazy. Is that considered an excuse? Anyway, I did two loads of laundry, so the day wasn’t a total waste.

In what I consider my major accomplishment of the day, I managed to synchronize the TV picture of the Giants-Dodgers game from FOX with the radio broadcast from XM. Both were a little off because of satellite delays, so getting the sound of the crack of the bat to match up with the visual took some doing. I fast-forwarded and rewound the picture in tiny increments until I got it right. Then I watched the Giants lose and wondered why I bothered.

Saturdays tend to be pretty quiet around here. The rats slept all day, as usual. Biffle was a little more lively, especially when I fed him. He gets his regular food in the morning and a bowl of produce in the afternoon. He’s a little particular about being petted. Sometimes he’s really into it, and at other times it seems to annoy him. I’m not reading his moods right just yet, and of course by the time I do, he’ll be gone.
