I woke up feeling crummy and spent the whole day lying on the couch. I got up only for the absolute necessities. I had no appetite, but I ate a bowl of vegetable soup. I drank as much water as I could. I don't know if this is a cold, flu, or just a bad day, but I slept a good part of the day away. With luck, that'll make tomorrow better.

Obviously, there isn't much else to tell about that day. During the brief times I was awake, I watched a little football and cleaned up the few programs that were still clogging the TiVo hard drive, including Throne of Blood, Kurosawa's feudal Japanese version of "Macbeth." It was on IFC's Samurai Saturday yesterday.

If I don't wake up tomorrow feeling a lot better, I'll be disappointed. I never get sick for long at a time, and I did everything I was supposed to today to try to get well. It would be just plain wrong if it didn't work out so that tomorrow was just another Monday (which is a disease unto itself).

Cloudy in the west.

This was either a totally wasted day or a day of restoration. I guess I won't know for sure right away, but I'm trying to think positively about it. I'm working hard at convincing myself that I'm already feeling a little better. And you know, I am. Seriously. No, I mean it. Much, much better.
