Based on how much of my project I got done today, I should be able to finish it by the end of next week, all other things being equal. And by that I mean, if the Boss leaves me mostly alone, and if no crisis comes up to keep me from working. This was my most productive day, mostly because when the Boss called, I told him I was in the middle of something and would get him an answer when I had a chance.

And that was the end of that conversation. Somehow I got back to work and didn’t lose much rhythm. He left me alone until after quitting time. By then he was going through his mail, and he phoned twice during the evening to ask about checks I had written. He couldn’t fax me because it was after six o’clock, so he had to call. I understand that, and I didn’t mind. You couldn’t tell it by my voice, probably, because I think I got a little whiny (and loud) by the last time he called.

Big cloud over a small house.

Will I work on the project over the weekend? Probably not. I have plans with Mom tomorrow, and I never seem to get started on Sunday. Sunday is my day of total withdrawal. I know it seems I live that way every day, but I treasure my solitary Sundays more than I can say. It would take something special (in either a good way or a bad way) to get me to do anything on a Sunday. (See? It’s only Friday and I’m already looking forward to Sunday.)
