Since it looks as if things will be returning to normal around here, I thought I’d break silence and post a new entry. Now that Mom is well on her way to full recovery (we now stay with her to keep her from doing too much, rather than to do everything for her), I don’t have to fill this space with scary news every day. For awhile, this was turning into a medical journal, which isn’t something I’m qualified to write.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone (again, sorry) for all the support we’ve been given during the recent crisis. The best thing to come out of this is that I’ve got a chance to spend more time with Mom, thanks to the generosity of the Boss and a flexible schedule. We’ve had some nice talks, since her health started improving, and I’ve enjoyed the experience.

As you know, I don’t get out much and I rarely socialize, so it’s good to have a chance to chat with someone who knows me pretty well. And vice versa, for that matter. I reconnected with Mom in a way that isn’t possible when we’re together only when I take her shopping, or when we’re with crowds of people. If anything good came out of the ordeal, that was it.

Scattered trees, scattered clouds.

Originally I’d intended to repost the two entries I did at Xanga during the brief hiatus, but now I’ve changed my mind. Let’s just pick things up and move on from right here, right now. But if you missed them, and if you care, there are entries over there for March 17 and March 18.
